Arsenal are looking to recover after their disappointing weekend when they host Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday. The Gunners drew 0-0 with Everton on Saturday to drop more points in the Premier League title race and were unable to capitalise on Liverpool being held by Fulham making it a disappointing time for Arteta.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace Preview
The Gunners will have home soil advantage against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. But, the Eagles will take plenty of positives from their recent form after impressively winning at Brighton on Sunday. Arsenal and Crystal Palace will collide in an EFL Cup tie for the first time since 1993. Meanwhile, it is the first domestic cup clash between the teams since Arsenal’s 2-1 victory in February 1998. The Gunners have avoided defeat in nine of their last ten against the Eagles, winning each of the last four.

Crystal Palace struggled after losing Michael Olise in the summer, finding it hard to perform as well as last season. However, after a tough run of results, the team is improving. They are now unbeaten in their last five games heading into this match.
The defensive trio of Marc Guéhi, Trevoh Chalobah and Maxence Lacroix have performed to a very high level in recent weeks, while right-back Daniel Muñoz has been a consistent performer this season, but Palace will need to extract more from their attackers if they are to kick on this season.
Team News
Declan Rice is a doubt for the Gunners after coming off against Everton due to a knock. Ben White, Riccardo Calafiori, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all thought to be injured.
On the other hand, The Eagles are still without midfielder Adam Wharton, who is not expected back for a few weeks yet, while Chadi Riad, Joel Ward and Matheus Franca continue to miss out.
Possible Line-ups
Arsenal XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Jorginho, Ødegaard; Saka, Jesus, Trossard.
Crystal Place XI: Henderson; Chalobah, Lacroix, Guéhi; Muñoz, Hughes, Lerma, Mitchell; Sarr, Eze; Mateta.
1X2 Prediction
Arsenal will come into this game feeling like they have a point to prove following a frustrating encounter at the weekend. Arsenal have really struggled for goals from open play domestically since netting five at West Ham. The Gunners have failed to score from open play in December, but this could be an excellent opportunity to get back on track against the Eagles.
We say Arsenal 2:1 Crystal Palace
Goals prediction
This game should see a few goals, with over 2.5 goals having been scored in three of Arsenal’s last five games on home soil and four of Palace’s last five on the road.
