West Ham United welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League match this coming Monday night at London Stadium. The Hammers come into this match 14th in the premier standing with 15 points from 14 games played so far.

West Ham vs Wolves Betting Preview

Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui is under pressure following a nightmare start of the season having him win only four out of 14 opening league matches. West Ham are heading into this match after two tough losses, and it’s hard to see how they could survive another defeat, especially against a team in the relegation zone. Even a draw might be enough to cost Lopetegui his job. As a result, the atmosphere at the London Stadium is likely to be very tense this weekend.

Wolves were unlucky in that they had a very tough start to the campaign, playing Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester City all in their first eight games of the season, so it was going to be hard for them to show the best performance. O’Neil will certainly feel like that has been a contributing factor, and it’s probably something he’ll feel hard done by.

Team News

West Ham United come into this match with a clean bill of health, with Jean-Clair Todibo the player who might miss this match. Changes will no doubt be made after the game at Leicester in the week, with Emerson Palmieri and Lucas Paquetá both vying for a recall to the starting XI, while Niclas Füllkrug will be hoping to start after a goal off the bench last time out.

On the other hand, Wolves will be without the services of Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore, Enso González and Saša Kalajdžić, all of whom remain out injured. Nélson Semedo is available once again after serving a one-match suspension, so he should come back into the starting line-up on the right flank.

Possible line-ups

West Ham: Fabiański; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Álvarez, Paquetá; Bowen, Souček, Kudus; Fülkrug

Wolves:  Sá; Bueno, Dawson, T. Gomes; Semedo, André, Lemina, J. Gomes; Cunha, Aït-Nouri; Larsen

Prediction 1X2

This is a very testing fixture to predict, as both West Ham and Wolves have been below the performance levels required in the Premier League this season. The fact that both managers are also fighting for their jobs means that the players who show the most fight will come out on top. West Ham have beat Wolves in each of their last 4 meetings at home and we predict the Hammers will come out on top again in this match.

We say:  West Ham 3:1 Wolves

Goals

Wolves make the trip without injured midfielder Enso González and there are doubts over the fitness of Bastien Meupiyou. The probability of seeing goals in this game is high and we expect both teams to find the back of the net plus over 2.5 goals.
