Manchester City came from a goal down to beat Wolverhampton 2-1 on Sunday evening in a Premier League match staged at Molineux Stadium.

Wolves struck first through Strand Larsen, who tapped in from close range after a brilliant ball from Semedo set him up perfectly. It was a simple finish for Larsen, giving Wolves an early advantage.

Just before halftime, Manchester City equalized. Gvardiol found space and fired a shot that left Jose Sa with no chance to save. Wolves’ defense seemed hesitant to close him down, giving him the time to line up his effort.

It is not often you see a referee stick with the on-field decision when sent to the monitor, but Chris Kavanagh has done just that. The focus of the review was Bernardo’s positioning in front of Sa, but he looked to move before the header. The question is why was the referee sent to the monitor? It looked a straightforward decision. VAR Stuart Attwell the person that decided it needed a review.
