Manchester United and PSG are making progress in talks to sign midfielder Manuel Ugarte, with both clubs keen to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes. A permanent transfer is preferred, but a loan with an obligation to buy is also being considered. United are working on creating squad space, with possible exits for Facundo Pellistri to Panathinaikos and Hannibal Mejbri to Burnley, while Scott McTominay is expected to stay unless he requests to leave and a good offer comes in.

United are also exploring other midfield options, including discussions with Fiorentina for Sofyan Amrabat, who would be a cheaper alternative to Ugarte. Additionally, they are keeping an eye on Frenkie de Jong’s situation at Barcelona, as they have long been interested in him. McTominay has attracted interest from clubs like Napoli and Fulham, but United have been firm on keeping him unless the circumstances change.

Several European clubs are considering a move for Jadon Sancho, although PSG’s interest has cooled after signing Desire Doue. Juventus and Borussia Dortmund couldn’t meet United’s valuation, so for now, Sancho is expected to stay, but the situation could change in the final days of the transfer window.
