Are Arsenal’s title hopes slipping away?

Arsenal’s situation is becoming a concern, and the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium reflected that. The players looked dejected as they left the pitch, and the mood among fans was equally gloomy.

There are still 16 games left in the season for Arsenal, but Liverpool, who have 17 games remaining, are already six points ahead. That’s a big gap, and the fear is it could grow even larger.

Last season, Arsenal only dropped nine points from winning positions, one of the best records in the Premier League. But after their collapse against Aston Villa, they’ve already dropped 12 points in this campaign.

This is troubling for a team known for its defensive strength under Mikel Arteta. They’re also struggling in attack, missing too many scoring chances.

There’s still time for the title race to take unexpected turns, but Arsenal, now dealing with more injuries, including William Saliba’s absence, seem to be a team finding it hard to keep pace.
