Following their victory in Munich, Germany are guaranteed a top two finish and a Nations League quarter final berth. Germany sit on top of the table in group A3 with 10 points, 5 points behind Netherlands. Hungary occupy the third spot, sitting below the Dutch on goal difference, after beating bottom side Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in Monday’s match.
The next round of fixtures will see Germany host Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands host Hungary on November 16, before Hungary host Germany and the Netherlands travel to Bosnia on November 19.
Netherlands were Lifeless in the first half but looked better in the second half, coming close through attempts from Simons and Malen. However, in the end, Koeman’s side were left to rue their overall underwhelming performance in attack as they picked up their first defeat of the tournament.
