Conor Gallagher is set to join Atletico Madrid, with a medical scheduled for later this week and a five-year contract expected to follow. Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have agreed on a fee of £38 million (€42 million) for Gallagher, while Atletico is also finalizing a deal to bring in Julian Alvarez from Manchester City for £82 million.
Atletico Madrid has already settled personal terms with Alvarez, whose transfer is crucial for completing these deals. Chelsea’s move to sign striker Samu Omorodion from Deportivo Alaves is contingent on Atletico securing a replacement, with Omorodion’s transfer valued at around £34 million.
Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have agreed on a transfer for Julian Alvarez, amounting to £82 million (€95 million), with £64 million paid up front and the rest in add-ons. This deal represents a significant profit for City, who bought Alvarez from River Plate for just £14 million in January 2022.
